Bourbon Smash cocktails are great cocktail recipes to experiment with, a wide variety of fruits and berries are perfect with bourbon and the combinations are virtually limitless when making Bourbon Smash recipes. Muddled Blackberries and Bourbon are a match made in Heaven and the basis for my cool and refreshing Blackberry Bourbon Smash recipe. The sweet, tangy and tart flavors of the berries are the perfect contrast to the smoky, spicy and oak flavors of the bourbon. Top it off with a hint of citrus from the lemon, and you have a remarkably complex flavor that is extremely quick and easy to make.

We Made these tonight with our local blackberries. We have a lot right now in Western Washington. Didn’t have any lemon, so I used lime. Pretty tasty!
